Hair Transplant Pattaya: Clinics, Prices and Travel (2026)

"It didn't hurt at all - I had my hair transplant yesterday and can't wait to see the results." That's from a Google review by Thanyanan Phumjan, which Noble Hair Clinic shows on its own reviews page with no date.

Two clinics publish a hair transplant service at a Pattaya location on their own pages. Max Hair Thailand names a Pattaya branch and publishes a ฿89,000 promotion without saying which branches it covers, and Noble Hair Clinic, in Na Kluea, lists packages from ฿59,900 to ฿99,900.

Our guide to hair transplants in Thailand covers clinics and costs across the country. If you're planning a medical tourism trip to Pattaya, this page covers who operates there, what each clinic publishes, and how the trip fits around the clinic's appointments.

What a hair transplant is and how it is done in Pattaya

A hair transplant moves your own hair from one part of the scalp to another. The American Academy of Dermatology puts it this way: "Hair transplant surgery allows the surgeon to move healthy hairs on your scalp to areas with thinning hair."

The same page says "the outcome still depends largely on the surgeon you select". That's why each clinic section below says what the clinic publishes about its doctor.

FUE, FUT and DHI

FUE means follicular unit excision. The ISHRS describes it as "removing individual follicular units (natural clusters of hairs grouped in 1-4 hairs each)", using "micro punches that span from 0.7 to 1.2 mm in size".

FUT is the strip method. The ISHRS describes it as "harvesting a linear strip of tissue including skin and hair follicles", which skilled technicians then dissect into individual grafts.

DHI means direct hair implantation. Noble's homepage says "DHI uses an implanter pen to plant grafts immediately without pre-making incisions, giving better control over direction and density." That's Noble's description of its own method.

Max Hair lists "FUE, MCG, DHI, Long Hair, and Non-Shaven Hair Transplants" on its English site. Noble sells FUE with DHI as one package, and its pages don't mention FUT.

The procedure, step by step

The ISHRS lists the main FUE steps: outlining the donor and recipient areas, numbing the scalp, preparing recipient sites, harvesting the grafts and placing them. It adds that the procedure "varies from surgeon to surgeon".

It also says grafts are placed "most often by the trained staff". So ask your clinic which steps the doctor does and which steps staff do.

Does it hurt?

The AAD says: "Most patients remain awake during the entire surgery and need only an anesthesia that makes the scalp numb. Some patients also take a mild sedative to help them relax."

Noble's homepage says "The doctor administers local anesthesia before every step, so you won't feel any pain during the procedure." Ask how discomfort is handled once you're back at your hotel, and who to call outside clinic hours.

Who is a good candidate

The AAD gives two requirements: "Enough healthy hair on your scalp that can be transplanted to the area that needs hair" and "The ability to grow hair on the thinning area of your scalp". A consultation and scalp exam decide both.

A clinic selling a technique doesn't settle whether that technique suits you. Ask the doctor what is causing your hair loss and what coverage they think is realistic.

How many grafts do you need?

A graft is one of those natural clusters of hairs, so a graft count isn't a hair count. The ISHRS 2025 Practice Census puts the average first procedure at 2,347 grafts.

The census covers calendar 2024. Of 992 physician members invited, 247 responded, a 26% response rate, with a margin of error of +/- 5.4%.

Your own count comes from the surgeon's assessment. Noble sells its packages by graft band, so ask which band your assessed count falls into.

Which Pattaya clinics publish hair transplant services?

A clinic is listed here only where its own page shows both a Pattaya location and a hair transplant service. Directory listings and ads don't count.

The two clinics are in alphabetical order, not ranked. We compare what clinics publish, and nobody at AsiaPatient has visited these clinics or had a procedure at them.

Max Hair Thailand

Max Hair's English homepage says "Currently, Max Hair Thailand has 9 branches across Thailand, including:" and lists Pattaya. The others are Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Hat Yai and Ubon Ratchathani.

Its package page lists a Pattaya branch at 159/428, Na Kluea Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province 20150, and a Bangkok branch on Soi Lad Phrao 89. Ask Max Hair whether the operation itself happens at the Pattaya branch.

No doctor is assigned to the Pattaya branch on the pages we read. Ask which doctor operates in Pattaya, then look that name up on the registers listed further down.

Max Hair's all-inclusive package page lists "Gold Package | Premium Package | Platinum Package." Its table includes "Private Airport Transfer," "LLLT Laser," "Complimentary Meals," "Medical Certificate," "Free Corrective Procedure," and "Complimentary Follow-Up" (read 26 October 2026).

The package page shows no price for these tiers. It describes the package for "international patients traveling to Bangkok for hair transplant procedures" and doesn't name the airport, so ask whether it applies at the Pattaya branch before you book flights.

Noble Hair Clinic

Noble publishes one address on its Thai contact page. Translated from Thai: "116/2 Moo 6, Na Kluea Sub-district, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province 20150".

Its English homepage lists "Dr. Sukumpat Na Nan / Sukumpat Na Nan, MD. / Hair Transplant Specialist / Medical License No. 56396 / Member of the Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons (AAHRS)". The license number and the membership are the clinic's own claims.

The About page spells the name Dr. Sukhumpat Na Nan, under "Doctor in Charge of Treatment". It points readers to the Medical Council of Thailand to look up the license number.

Noble's site doesn't claim ISHRS or ABHRS membership for its doctor. If those credentials matter to you, ask the clinic directly and check the directories yourself.

Every Noble package is FUE with DHI. Its FUE vs DHI article says: "Our packages are FUE with DHI, so the price depends on the number of grafts and the area treated, not on the technique, because DHI is already included in every package."

The homepage also lists "Hidden Shaven FUE", described as "Hair transplant without shaving". Noble's micrograft article says the technique "uses an extra-small graft size".

If keeping your hair long matters, ask which of these the doctor would use for you and how much hair would be shaved.

The site doesn't say who extracts or places the grafts. Ask that before you pay anything.

Names that come up but are not shown as Pattaya hair options

The Art Plastic Surgery Hospital gives its hospital address on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Don Mueang, Bangkok. Its Thai contact page publishes a Pattaya Central address (translated from Thai).

Its hair pages don't say transplants are done at the Pattaya location, and they give no price or named hair surgeon. If you're considering The Art, ask which location performs the operation before you plan a Pattaya stay.

PHD Clinic's own site did not load when we checked, so this page shows nothing about it.

Published prices and what the quote needs to say

Noble is the only clinic here with a price list for its transplants. Max Hair publishes one promotion.

Clinic and packageWhat the clinic says it coversPublished priceAbout US$
Noble, Package A"Hairline Restoration", up to 1,500 grafts, FUE with DHI฿59,900$1,810
Noble, Package B"Front Area Restoration", 1,500-3,000 grafts฿79,900$2,410
Noble, Package C"Front / Crown Restoration", 3,000+ grafts฿99,900$3,010
Noble, D add-on"Micrografts / Long Hair FUE", added to Package A-C+฿20,000+$600
Max Hair, FUE-MAX promotionNo graft count and no branch stated฿89,000$2,690

Prices from Noble's pricing page and Max Hair's package page, read 26 October 2026.

Dollars at ฿33.14 = $1 (European Central Bank reference rates, 22 September 2026). Totals are rounded to the nearest $10.

Noble publishes no per-graft rate. Dividing a package by its graft band won't give you a quote, and a count near the edge of a band is a question for the clinic.

Max Hair's wording is: "However, we currently have a special promotion for the FUE-MAX graft package for just 89,000 THB." The page doesn't attach a graft count or say which branches it applies to, so ask whether the Pattaya branch offers it and for how many grafts.

What Noble lists inside its packages

Noble's pricing page lists these items in its transplant packages (read 26 October 2026):

PRP and laser sessions are Noble's own offer, which it also sells as separate services: PRP "Starting from 1,999 THB" and laser at "1,500 THB / session". This page makes no claim that either works.

Ask your own doctor about any medicine a package includes, and follow your own surgeon's instructions.

Noble's FUE vs DHI article answers its own question, "Is There a Consultation Fee?", with "It is free." It adds that the doctor sets your actual price by graft count at that consultation.

What the written quote should say

Get the graft count, technique, operating address, doctor's name and every inclusion on one written quote. A package name alone doesn't tell you which of those you're paying for.

If a Pattaya quote differs from the published package, send the clinic its own price page and ask what applies to you.

Pattaya or Bangkok as the recovery base?

Our view: stay in the city where your operating clinic is, for as long as its in-person checks run. A Pattaya clinic makes Pattaya the practical base, and a Bangkok clinic makes Bangkok the base.

Noble's only published address is in Na Kluea. Max Hair has branches in both Pattaya and Bangkok, so ask which one does your operation before you book a hotel.

Noble includes "1-year follow-up and ongoing care" and Max Hair lists "Complimentary Follow-Up". Neither page says how many visits are in person in the first days, so get that schedule before you pick a city.

If you're still weighing cities, our Bangkok vs Phuket comparison and our Chiang Mai page cover clinics elsewhere in Thailand.

Getting to a Pattaya clinic from Suvarnabhumi or U-Tapao

Ask the clinic whether a transfer is included and from which airport.

Max Hair's package table lists "Private Airport Transfer" without naming the airport, on a page written for patients traveling to Bangkok. Noble's site publishes no hotel or transfer arrangement.

Get the exact clinic address and your check-in time in writing before you fly. Then plan your arrival with room for a delay before the consultation or operation.

Where to stay in Pattaya after the procedure

No clinic page we read names hotels or areas in Pattaya. Our view on what to look for:

Follow your own surgeon's instructions on what to avoid in those first days.

Heat, beach time and the first two weeks

Pattaya's heat and beach are a planning question for your operating surgeon. Ask before you book, then follow that surgeon's instructions.

Our heat and recovery page covers heat and exercise after surgery in Thailand.

Follow-up visits and flying home

Noble lists "1-year follow-up and ongoing care" in every package. Its site publishes no phone, video or partner-clinic follow-up for patients who have flown home.

Max Hair lists "Complimentary Follow-Up" and "Medical Certificate" in its package table. The page says "Follow-up care continues after you return home through structured online communication with our medical team."

The same table lists a "Free Corrective Procedure". Ask what would qualify and where it would be done.

Before you pay a deposit, get in writing which visits are in person, who you contact after leaving Pattaya, and whether remote follow-up is offered.

The AAD says: "Most patients see results between six and nine months after surgery. For some patients, it takes 12 months." Surgeons generally ask you to wait 12 to 18 months before judging the final result.

What patients report about hair transplants in Pattaya

We searched Reddit, RealSelf and Hair Transplant Network and found no readable, dated first-hand account of a transplant at a Pattaya clinic.

The only reviews we found are clinic-published. Noble's reviews page shows six five-star reviews with reviewer names and no dates.

Three of the six are about PRP rather than a transplant. No complaints appear on the page.

One reviewer, Nuthawut SABSOMBAT, wrote: "It's now been 3 months since the transplant, and I'm very happy with the hair growth so far." The AAD says that "By the third month, the hair may look thinner than before you had the transplant", so a three-month review is an early view of the results.

The same page shows photos labelled "Premium Long Hair FUE 2 Weeks After", "Regular FUE 1 Year After" and "Regular FUE 6 Months After". Ask the clinic for the operation date, the graft count and later photos from the same case.

Questions to ask before you book

Look the doctor up by first name and surname on the Medical Council of Thailand register at checkmd.tmc.or.th. The ABHRS and ISHRS sites have directories too.

Our license check page walks through the register step by step.

How we assembled this page

Clinics cannot pay to be listed or ranked higher on AsiaPatient. A clinic appears here only when its own page shows a Pattaya location and a hair transplant service, and clinics are listed alphabetically.

Clinic sources are each clinic's own pages. For Noble: its English homepage, About page, pricing page, FUE vs DHI article, micrograft article and reviews page, plus its Thai contact page.

For Max Hair Thailand: its English homepage and all-inclusive package page. For The Art Plastic Surgery Hospital: its English homepage, plus its Thai contact and hair pages.

Medical statements come from the AAD, the ISHRS and the ABHRS. Patient accounts were searched on Reddit, RealSelf and Hair Transplant Network, and no airport or transport operator page with journey times could be read.

Frequently asked questions

Which clinics do hair transplants in Pattaya?

Max Hair Thailand and Noble Hair Clinic publish a hair transplant service with a Pattaya location on their own pages. Max Hair lists a Pattaya branch address in Na Kluea, Bang Lamung.

Noble's address is in Na Kluea, Bang Lamung. The Art Plastic Surgery Hospital lists a Pattaya location, but its hair pages don't say transplants are done there.

How much does a hair transplant in Pattaya cost?

Noble publishes ฿59,900 for up to 1,500 grafts, ฿79,900 for 1,500-3,000 and ฿99,900 for 3,000+, plus ฿20,000 for its micrograft Long Hair FUE add-on. Max Hair publishes a ฿89,000 FUE-MAX promotion with no graft count or branch stated. Your graft count comes from the doctor's assessment at consultation.

Is Pattaya a good base, or should I stay in Bangkok?

Our view: stay where your operating clinic is, for the days of its in-person checks. A Pattaya clinic makes Pattaya the practical base, and a Bangkok clinic makes Bangkok the base. Max Hair has branches in both cities, so ask which one does your operation.

How do I get from Suvarnabhumi or U-Tapao airport to a Pattaya clinic?

Ask your clinic whether a transfer is included and from which airport. Max Hair's package table lists "Private Airport Transfer" without naming the airport, on a page written for patients traveling to Bangkok.

Noble's site publishes no transfer arrangement. Get the clinic address and your check-in time in writing before you fly.

Can I go to the beach in the first two weeks?

Ask your operating surgeon before you book the trip. Then follow that surgeon's instructions on sun, heat, swimming and exercise for your own case.

Does a Pattaya clinic charge for the consultation?

Noble says its consultation is free, in its own words: "It is free." Its doctor sets the actual price by graft count at that consultation. Ask Max Hair about its consultation fee directly.
