Who Is Responsible for Your Data

AsiaPatient.com is operated by Result Compass LLC. We are the data controller for the information you give us through this site, which means we decide how it is used and we answer for it. Contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

What We Collect

When you fill in our inquiry form, we collect what you type into it:

• Your name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number and country
• The procedure and destination you are interested in, your timeline, budget range and main priority
• Medical information relevant to your inquiry: your hair loss stage or situation, and anything you tell us about your health or goals in the free-text box
• Your answers to the consent boxes on the form

When you email us, we collect your email address and whatever you write, including any photos you send.

When you visit the site, and only if Google Analytics is on for you (see the next section), it records which pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_P0W49N22QX. Google says both last up to 2 years. We use them only to count visits and see which pages help readers.

• In the UK and the EU: Google Analytics stays off, and sets no cookies, until you say yes in the banner.
• Everywhere else: it runs when you visit. You can switch it off with the button below.
• We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. Google signals and ad personalization are switched off in our account.
• We do not send your form answers or your health information to Google Analytics.

To know whether to ask you, the site checks which country you are visiting from, using our host Cloudflare. It remembers your country until you close the tab and your cookie choice for 12 months, in your browser's own storage. Neither is sent to anyone.

Health Information Is Special

Details about your hair loss and your health are health data. EU and UK data protection law (Article 9 of the GDPR and the UK GDPR) and Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (Section 26) treat health data as a special or sensitive category that needs your explicit consent. So we handle it this way:

• We use it only to understand and answer your inquiry.
• We send it to a clinic only if you tick the separate, optional box next to the form that allows us to share it. The box is never ticked for you.
• If you leave that box empty, we still answer your inquiry ourselves, and we do not pass your health information to any clinic.
• We never use it for marketing, and we never sell it.

How We Use Your Information

• To answer your inquiry by email or WhatsApp, as you asked us to on the form.
• To put you in touch with a clinic, only with the consent described above.
• To understand how the site is used, through Google Analytics, so we can see which pages help readers.

We do not use your inquiry to send you newsletters or marketing email. If that ever changes, we will ask you first with a separate opt-in.

Who Receives Your Information

• switch.monster, the service that runs our inquiry form and stores what you submit.
• Google, which runs our email (Google Workspace) and Google Analytics.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and runs the anti-spam check on the inquiry form.
• Clinics, only the ones you ask about, and only when you have ticked the sharing box. A clinic that receives your details uses them under its own privacy policy.

These companies may store data outside the country you live in, including in the United States. The clinics are in Thailand, whose data protection law may not protect you in the same way as the law where you live. We tell you this before you consent so that your consent is informed.

How Long We Keep It

We delete your inquiry and our emails with you 12 months after our last message with each other, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you withdraw consent to share your health information, we stop sharing it straight away. Google Analytics keeps the detail of each visit for 2 months, and data tied to your browser's _ga cookie for 14 months after your last visit. After that only summary counts remain. None of it is linked to your name.

Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Show you the data we hold about you and send you a copy
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your data
• Stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use
• Send your data to you or another company in a common file format
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what we did with your consent before you withdrew it.

Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.

You can also complain to a data protection regulator: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, the authority in your country (list of EU authorities); in Thailand, the Personal Data Protection Committee.

Security

The site and the inquiry form load over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted on its way to us.

Children

This site is for adults. Please do not send us an inquiry if you are under 18.

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will ask for fresh consent before using health information in any new way.
