What the Premium Actually Is
Two Bangkok clinics publish both numbers, so the premium is arithmetic rather than opinion.

So in Bangkok, budget 43 to 50 percent above the shaven price at the clinics that publish both. That is worth knowing because it disagrees with what aggregator sites tell you. Long Hair FUE for Women Costs More Again
If you are a woman keeping full length rather than accepting a trimmed window, that is a third tier of pricing. Bangkok Hair Clinic publishes its criteria, and they are sensible enough to use as a self-check before you book a consultation:
- A clear localized problem. An M-shaped receding hairline at the temples, thinning starting at the crown, or early diffuse thinning. Not advanced loss across the whole scalp.
- Enough hair length at the back and sides to cover the trimmed strip, so it looks seamless straight after the procedure.
- Not wanting your hairstyle to change abruptly. The clinic names women specifically, and anyone without much recovery time.
Shock Loss Is the Risk Nobody Advertises
Working between hairs you still have means disturbing them. Bangkok Hair Clinic names shock loss on its own partial shaven page, describing a period where transplanted hair sheds. Native hair around the worked area can shed too, temporarily, and that risk is higher in non-shaven work than in a shaved session precisely because the surgeon is operating around live follicles rather than a cleared field.
