Keep the doctor's identity with your treatment plan. That lets you check that the person discussed at consultation is the person named for surgery.

The published hair description doesn't allocate each task to a named person. Ask who removes the donor grafts, creates the recipient sites and places the grafts, including any work done by assistants.

Techniques Offered

The HE Clinic procedure description combines FUE-style extraction with an implanter pen that places grafts into the thinning area. Its service list also uses DHI for the pen-based procedure.

The standard procedure involves shaving the recipient area, where the grafts will be placed. The Long Hair option preserves hair in that area. HE says limited donor shaving is usually needed.

If avoiding clippers is your main concern, ask the doctor to mark the donor area on your photos. So get the amount of donor shaving written into your quote.

The first price in each group covers a different graft count. Compare the rows for your estimated count and intended shaving plan before comparing the total with another clinic.

The upper tiers don't state a maximum number of grafts. So ask what the package would cover in your case and how the doctor decides the count.

What to Ask for in Writing

Specify which consultation you want when booking. Ask whether the hair consultation will be with Dr. Dao and what happens to the fee if you don't travel within that period.

What Is Included

HE Clinic uses the phrase "no other costs or charges" for its graft-count packages. The procedure pages don't itemize medication or clinic washes.

They also don't specify an aftercare kit or remote follow-up, or whether accommodation and transport are covered.

Ask for those items to be marked included or separately charged on your quote. The package wording alone doesn't tell you whether a hotel stay or a return visit is covered.

For care after surgery, request the number and purpose of any included appointments. That answer helps you plan the stay and tells you what you would need to arrange yourself.

Aftercare and Follow-Up When You Fly Home

HE Clinic describes gentle washing after the first few days, following its instructions. It advises avoiding swimming, intense exercise and significant sun exposure for the period the doctor gives you.

Its Long Hair page also advises against rubbing or scratching the treated area. Preserving your hairstyle doesn't remove the need for the clinic's care instructions.

HE Clinic doesn't publish a remote follow-up schedule on its current hair-treatment pages. Before booking travel, ask when the doctor wants to see you in person and how follow-up will work after you leave Thailand.

So request a named contact, instructions for sending progress photos and a route for an urgent concern. Also ask what would require an examination locally or a return to Bangkok.

Location and Getting There

HE Clinic lists the second floor of the Fifty-Fifth Thonglor Building, Thonglor Soi 2, Sukhumvit, Bangkok 10110. HE Clinic's own pages list no other branch.

The clinic describes the location as two minutes from Exit 3 at BTS Thonglor. It also says parking is available in the building.

The clinic's homepage says it is open Tuesday to Saturday and lists an English WhatsApp line.

Use the building name and floor when arranging transport. Ask for your appointment time directly, since clinic opening hours don't tell you when Dr. Dao is available.

Li W.'s 12 March 2024 MyMediTravel review is positive about the hair transplant. It is a short statement of satisfaction with no procedure date or follow-up period.

Bookimed also displays reviews concerning other treatments or general visits, including CoolSculpting and vasectomy. Those experiences don't answer what a hair-transplant patient can expect from graft placement or follow-up.

Complaints, Criticism and Doubts

We found no first-hand complaint about an HE Clinic hair transplant. One 2022 Reddit comment, from an account since deleted, advises against HE for hair without saying whether the writer was treated there.

For concerns about care, ask HE how it handles a patient who is unhappy or needs another examination after going home. Request the process before you need to use it.
