DHT Clinic Bangkok Review: Dr. Path, Procedures, Prices and Patient Reports
A DHT patient posting in November 2024 wrote, "I booked the surgery 8 months in advance." In emails before booking, they said Dr. Path offered individual follicle extraction, a scalp-strip procedure, or a combination, a useful distinction when comparing hair transplants in Bangkok.
DHT Clinic publishes all three methods: FUE, FUT, and a combined procedure. Its official pages don't publish a numeric price, so choosing DHT means getting a quote for your named surgeon and procedure; the eight-month booking was that r/HairTransplants patient's experience, not a current waiting list.
DHT Clinic at a Glance
DHT's main clinic and the Sukhumvit practice use different names and list different doctors. So confirm the address and operating doctor before using a review to assess your own booking.
We compare what clinics publish with patient accounts; we haven't visited these clinics or independently confirmed the DHT doctors' Thai license records.

The main clinic publishes weekday hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday hours of 9 a.m. to noon. Use those hours to arrange an appointment through DHT Clinic, and get the surgeon's availability confirmed separately.
Dr. Path and the DHT Team
Dr. Path is Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich. DHT Clinic lists his Doctor of Medicine (MD) qualification and describes him as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and says he has been certified and recertified by the American Board of Surgery.
His DHT Clinic biography also says he was appointed a fellowship-training-program director for the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).
DHT says he designs the hairline, refines donor harvesting for both FUT and FUE, and uses a device he developed for graft placement. That description still leaves a practical booking question: which stages will he personally perform in your procedure?
DHT Clinic lists Dr. Tueboon Sriphojanart's MD from Chulalongkorn University, Thai Board of Dermatology qualification, and hair restoration fellowship training through ISHRS. The DHT Clinic biography for Dr. Pasu Piamphongsant lists the same three qualifications: an MD from Chulalongkorn University, the Thai Board of Dermatology, and ISHRS hair restoration fellowship training.
Those profiles don't assign every surgical step to each doctor. Ask who will remove the donor follicles, make the receiving incisions, and place the grafts, then have the names included in your treatment plan.
The Hair Restore by DHT Clinic site lists Dr. Pathomvanich and Dr. Prapote Asawaworarit. Reviews embedded there also name Dr. Ramida or Dr. Fon, so a review attached to that branch needs to be matched to the doctor it describes.
How to verify a doctor before booking
Use the Thai Medical Council register to check the doctor's full first and last name. Ask the clinic for the registered spelling in Thai or English if the name in your quote is a nickname.
Do this for the doctor you're booking. A familiar clinic name or a review of Dr. Path doesn't answer the licensing question for another person working there.
Procedures DHT Publishes
DHT lists FUE, FUT, and a combination of both in its services. The consultation should explain why the proposed method fits the areas you want treated and what it means for your donor area, where the grafts come from.
FUE
Follicular unit extraction removes follicles individually. DHT Clinic describes using a powered or manual punch for removal, followed by the surgeon making incisions in the area receiving the grafts.
The clinic says FUE leaves many small white scars rather than a linear scar. Ask the surgeon to discuss how the donor area may look with the haircut you plan to wear.
DHT does not advertise non-shaven scalp FUE as a stand-alone service. DHT mentions long-hair FUE on its eyebrow transplantation page, where it describes harvesting hair for eyebrows.
The eyebrow service doesn't describe a non-shaven scalp procedure. So ask what would be shaved in your case if keeping your hair long is a condition of booking.
FUT
DHT calls its strip technique follicular unit transplantation (FUT). DHT Clinic describes removing a strip of scalp, separating the grafts under a stereomicroscope, and closing the wound with what it calls a double trichophytic technique.
Its FUT page says stitches are removed in 10 to 14 days. That needs a separate plan if you're considering the shorter Bangkok visit outlined in the clinic's booking FAQ.
Ask where the stitches will be removed if you leave Thailand first. Have the surgeon explain the wound closure and scar considerations during consultation, before you agree to the procedure.
FUT Plus FUE Combination
DHT Clinic says its combined procedure aims to obtain more grafts in one session while reducing FUT scar size and diffuse thinning from FUE. Those are its stated reasons for offering the method, not a promised result for your donor area.
A proposed combination should come with an explanation of how much work is planned with each method. The repeat-patient account below also involved beard hair, which makes it a different case from someone considering their first scalp procedure.
DHT's service list also includes eyebrow, facial-hair, and body-hair transplantation, plus scar concealment. It lists scalp micropigmentation, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and low-level laser therapy separately; ask which, if any, form part of your proposed treatment.
DHT Clinic Prices: What Is Public and What Patients Report
DHT does not list a numeric per-graft rate or total price on its English or Thai homepage. DHT Clinic says cost depends on the area needing treatment and asks for photos for a rough estimate (read 13 October 2026). The clinic's own Q&A describes the consultation as free, but a December 2025 reviewer on MedicalClinicBangkok, in a review labeled as translated from Thai, wrote, "I requested compensation and received 1,000 baht (the consultation fee)." Ask whether a consultation fee applies to you.
The Thai DHT page describes a lower-priced doctor option using the same nursing team and assistants. That passage names neither the doctor nor a rate, so ask who the alternative is and what their quote covers.
The figures below are historical patient reports. They give you questions to bring to consultation, but they don't set what DHT will charge you.
| Procedure and doctor | Patient-reported price per graft | When and where it was reported |
|---|---|---|
| FUT with Dr. Moo | ฿80, about $2.41 | A prospective patient's comment posted January 23, 2026, comparing quotes from Dr. Moo and Dr. Path. r/HairTransplants |
| FUT with Dr. Path | ฿120, about $3.62 | The same prospective patient's comparison, not a separate completed procedure. r/HairTransplants |
| FUE with Dr. Path | ฿123, about $3.71 | A patient reporting 3,028 grafts posted on October 10, 2025 and later dated the price to September 2025. r/HairTransplants |
Dollars at ฿33.14 = $1 (European Central Bank reference rates, 22 September 2026).
The Dr. Moo comparison concerns FUT. It shouldn't become an FUE estimate, and the nickname alone isn't enough to identify the doctor you would be booking.
What to ask for in writing
Get the proposed graft count alongside the per-graft rate and total.
The in-person assessment might change the proposed graft count. Ask how that would affect the total or method.
Ask whether the price covers medicines, local follow-up visits, washing, and any proposed PRP treatment, with optional charges shown separately.
Revision work and additional grafts need their own terms. Ask how the clinic would assess a concern after surgery and whether another procedure would carry a separate fee.
Consultation, Booking and Deposit Questions
DHT Clinic asks prospective patients to send photos for a rough estimate and book a consultation. Use that first exchange to name the surgeon you want to meet and the location you expect to attend.
The clinic's published travel outline starts with consultation on day one and surgery on day two. It puts follow-up or departure on day three, with day-four follow-up for what it calls mega sessions.
DHT says patients need at least three to four days in Bangkok. Before booking flights, ask the treating doctor to set your follow-up and departure dates for the procedure proposed to you.
Get the payment and cancellation terms before paying a deposit.
Those terms should say what happens if the consultation changes your treatment plan, if you decide against surgery, or if you need to move the date. Ask whether the in-person consultation can happen before any surgery payment becomes nonrefundable.
The November 2024 patient booked eight months ahead, while a July 2026 prospective patient asked about Dr. Pasu after other doctors were unavailable for their travel dates. Neither account gives a current DHT waiting time; ask about the doctor and dates you want.
Aftercare DHT Publishes
DHT Clinic lists redness, swelling, folliculitis, and numbness as possible complications and gives email or phone as follow-up routes. Ask the clinic to explain which symptoms require prompt assessment and how to reach the treating team after you leave Bangkok.
Its FAQ describes local twilight anesthesia and says it provides pain and sleeping pills. Discuss the medication plan and your own medicines with the treating doctor instead of treating that short FAQ as a prescription.
The published itinerary gives you a follow-up day. Get the washing instructions and appointment times before you arrange your stay.
FUT patients also need the stitch-removal appointment settled. DHT's stated 10 to 14 day timing extends beyond its minimum Bangkok itinerary.
So ask who will handle that care if you've already flown home.
Our Bangkok recovery guide can help you plan the rest of the trip. The instructions for your procedure should come from your treating team, including when to sleep normally, exercise, and return for review.
What Patients Reported on Reddit
DHT clinic reviews are more useful when you follow the named doctor and the patient's later posts. Several updates below come from the same person, so they show one continuing account.
| Post date | Doctor or practice | What the patient described |
|---|---|---|
| November 30, 2024 | Dr. Path | Booking eight months ahead and being offered FUE, FUT, or a combination. r/HairTransplants |
| October 10, 2025 | Dr. Path | An early FUE account, with the graft count clarified as 3,028. r/HairTransplants |
| January 5 and April 15, 2026 | Same FUE patient | Three- and six-month updates; the author also said weight loss contributed to the visible change. r/HairTransplants, January and r/HairTransplants, April |
| February 7, 2026 | Dr. Path | A repeat patient described a two-day procedure involving 4,664 grafts using FUE, FUT, and beard-hair extraction. r/Hairtransplant |
| June 15, 2026 | Dr. Pasu, Full Hair by DHT Clinic | A six-month account of 3,200 grafts and a nine-day stay in Bangkok. r/Hairtransplant |
| July 18, 2026 | Dr. Pasu | A prospective patient asked for experiences and discussed a possible FUT-plus-FUE plan after other doctors were unavailable. r/Hairtransplant |
| August 9, 2026 | Same 2025 FUE patient | A ten-month update, with flights and hotel described as separate from the procedure total. r/Hairtransplant |
The October 2025 patient wrote, "3028 grafts not 3080 as title says to be precise." Their later posts help you follow that case beyond surgery week without counting every update as another patient's endorsement.
The June 2026 Dr. Pasu post names Full Hair by DHT Clinic. Keep that practice name attached when discussing the account with the clinic, and confirm whether your proposed booking covers the same location and doctor.
Forum accounts and mixed feedback
An older FUT patient posting on December 9, 2021 wrote, "I am mostly having a hard time sleeping because I might be a bit jet lagged and I am used to sleeping on my side." The Hair Restoration Network account discusses the early experience after surgery, including donor-area discomfort.
That account and the older Hair Transplant Network journal cover details such as washing, itching, and staying in Bangkok. They are useful prompts for an aftercare conversation, though their 2013 and 2021 trips can't tell you today's booking arrangements.
Follow-up communication gets mixed comments. In an 18-month update dated November 14, 2017, a RealSelf reviewer asked for "better follow up and after procedure communication."
A June 2025 review republished by MedicalClinicBangkok says Dr. Path personally called the next day to check on the patient. A December 2025 review on the same listing, labeled as translated from Thai, describes waiting over 45 minutes before being told the doctor had left and consultations weren't available.
We'd use those accounts to settle two points before traveling: confirmation of the surgeon's consultation appointment and a named contact for aftercare. Clinic testimonials, republished reviews, and patient journals serve different purposes; none gives you a clinic-wide complication rate or a prediction of your result.
Where DHT Fits Among Bangkok Clinics
DHT gives you a published route to discuss FUT and combined surgery alongside FUE. We would include it in a consultation shortlist when comparing those methods, then assess the proposed doctor, treatment plan, and follow-up arrangements together.
Its public pricing leaves more to resolve directly with the clinic. So get a written quote before arranging travel if you need to settle the budget first.
Our Bangkok clinic comparison covers the wider shortlist. The individual HairTran Clinic review and Absolute Hair Clinic review let you compare those clinics' published information and patient accounts against the DHT proposal.
Questions to Ask DHT Before You Book
Take these to the clinic after it has reviewed your photos. They turn the discussion into a treatment plan you can compare with your other quotes.
- Which doctor will consult with me, remove the donor grafts, make the recipient incisions, and place the grafts?
- Why do you recommend FUE, FUT, or a combination for my proposed treatment areas and possible future work?
- What graft count are you quoting, and how could an in-person examination change the count or total?
- Does the quote include medicines and the proposed washing and follow-up appointments, and what costs extra?
- What are the deposit, cancellation, refund, and rescheduling terms?
- Which clinic address does the booking cover, and who will handle stitch removal if I have FUT?
- Who should I contact after returning home, and how would an in-person review or further procedure be arranged?
If you want help comparing a written DHT quote with your other options, contact AsiaPatient with the proposed doctor, method, and graft count. Keep the medical choice with the surgeon assessing you.
DHT Clinic FAQ
How far ahead do I need to book DHT Clinic?
Ask DHT for the named surgeon's available dates. A November 2024 patient said they booked eight months ahead, but another person's advance booking does not tell you when a slot will be available.
Can I meet the surgeon before paying for surgery?
DHT offers consultations and puts consultation before surgery in its published itinerary. Its public pages don't explain whether a deposit must already have been paid, so ask whether you can meet your surgeon before any payment becomes nonrefundable. The November 2024 Dr. Path patient wrote in a February 5, 2025 comment, "To secure a spot, I paid a $1,000 USD refundable deposit." That is one patient's report, not DHT's published terms.
Should I choose FUE, FUT, or a combination at DHT?
DHT publishes all three. Ask the surgeon to explain the recommendation for your hairline, crown, and donor area, including how it affects possible future procedures; a patient who had a large combined session doesn't establish which method fits your case.
How long should I stay in Bangkok for DHT Clinic?
DHT says at least three to four days, including consultation, surgery, and follow-up. Ask your surgeon to set the departure date for your procedure, and arrange stitch removal separately if you have FUT, since DHT gives that timing as 10 to 14 days.
Does the procedure price include flights and a hotel?
The patient posting a ten-month update in August 2026 said flights and hotel were separate from their procedure total. Get the inclusions in your own quote before budgeting for the trip.
Who will perform my surgery at DHT Clinic?
The main-site roster names Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich, Dr. Pasu Piamphongsant, and Dr. Tueboon Sriphojanart. Ask DHT to identify the operating doctor and each person's surgical tasks in your plan, and check the clinic address because the Sukhumvit practice publishes a different roster.
