HairTran Clinic Bangkok: Dr. Patty, Prices, Waiting Times and What Patients Report (2026)
A patient who had 2,400 grafts with Dr. Patty in December 2025 wrote that "my original consultation with Dr Patty in October 2024 came out to 86,000 for 1500-2000 grafts". The cost on the day was "Total cost: 135,000THB", and the same post says "overall I'm happy to pay more for a surgeon I trust" (r/HairTransplants, December 2025).
HairTran Clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, is led by Dr. Pukpinya Jangjetriew, who goes by Dr. Patty. The ISHRS lists her as a Full Member and the ABHRS lists her as a Diplomate. It's one of the clinics in our Bangkok hair transplant guide.
The clinic publishes a starting price of 102,000 THB. Patient totals posted from June 2025 to February 2026 work out to 49 to 56 THB a graft by our arithmetic. Patients report waits of about six months in 2025, and posts from July and August 2026 report surgery dates in 2027.

Who Dr. Patty Is
The clinic writes her name as "Dr. Pukpinya Jangjetriew (Dr. Patty)", and some patient posts write the clinic's name as "hair tran".
What the Clinic Says
HairTran's home page calls her "a physician certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), and licensed by the Thai Medical Council (V.31632)". That's the clinic's wording.
Its about page lists a "Medical Degree (M.D.)" from "Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand (2004)" and workshop training such as an "ISHRS FUE Cadaver Hands-on & Live Surgery Workshop, USA". It claims "4,000+ cases performed by our in-house surgeon." Those are the clinic's own statements.
What the ISHRS and ABHRS Directories List
The ISHRS listing for "Dr. Pukpinya Jangjetriew MD" shows "ISHRS Full Member", a join year of 2019, and "ABHRS Diplomate" under awards. The ABHRS physician directory lists her under "Diplomate" with "Certification Year 2023".
Full Member is a membership grade of the ISHRS, and it describes membership, not results. Both listings show an older address on Soi Sukhumvit 42, not the one on the clinic's current pages.
How to Check It Yourself
The clinic's about page points patients to the "Thai Medical Council license database" and the "ABHRS Physician Directory (board-certified hair restoration surgeons)". The Council's doctor check is the first of those. The license number V.31632 appears on the clinic's own pages.
Check the license number and the board listing yourself before you pay a deposit.
Other Doctors and the Team
The clinic's home, about, FAQ and treatment pages name one doctor and nobody else. The review page says services are provided by "our expert in-house doctors" without naming any.
Patients say several people work in the room. A November 2024 patient wrote "Team of (I think) 6 people work along side her loading the DHI pens, handing them off and others assisting with the implantation." (r/HairTransplants).
Who Does Which Step
In the Clinic's Own Words
The clinic's pages describe the doctor's role in different ways. The about page says "She personally performs all critical steps of the procedure." The FUE technique article says "all critical steps will be performed by Dr Pukpinya Jangjetriew and assisted by her nurses and technicians". The FUE price section says "every step personally supervised by ABHRS-certified Dr. Patty".
On extraction, the home page says "our skilled team meticulously extracts individual follicular units (grafts) from the donor area" in one list and "the doctor extracts hair follicles using the advanced WAW DUO FUE System" in another. No clinic page says in so many words who places the grafts.
In Patients' Words
Every row is one poster's description of their own surgery, dated by the post.
| Post date | Thread | What the poster wrote |
|---|---|---|
| Dec 2023 to Jan 2024 | r/HairTransplants | "Next was Dr. Patty cutting the slits." Asked about implanting: "At least for me she was implanting along with an assistant of hers at the same time." |
| Nov 2024 | r/HairTransplants | "She was extremely involved. She meets prior to surgery to plan and design your new hair line/design. During surgery she participates the entire time." |
| Feb 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "From what I could tell, two technicians were doing most of the implantation, and Dr. Patty wasn't present for the entirety of this phase." |
| Mar 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "Dr Patty did the incisions, followed by a break, then the technicians did the extraction (painless, easiest part)." (surgery in May 2025) |
| Mar 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "Her team of tech did most of the implantations and Dr Patty came in to do the final implantations and final check." |
A prospective patient asked about this in November 2025: "However, after speaking with her clinic, I was told that the implants would be done by a nurse, while Dr. Patty would handle the incisions." (r/HairTransplants).
Our reading: accounts from December 2023 to March 2026 agree that Dr. Patty designs the hairline and makes the incisions. They differ on who extracts and on how much of the placing she does.
What the ISHRS and ABHRS Say About Staff Roles
The ISHRS says "donor hair grafts are then placed into the recipient sites, most often by the trained staff." The ABHRS code of ethics says creating extraction incisions "is a non-delegable act, and must be performed by the physician of record", and says the same of "the creation of incisions for placement of grafts".
So staff placing grafts is common, and it isn't a warning sign by itself. What matters is knowing which steps the doctor does.
Ask HairTran in writing which steps Dr. Patty does herself: hairline design, incisions, extraction and placing the grafts - and keep the answer.
Techniques Offered
The about page says "We provide FUE and non-shaven FUE using an implanter pen and the WAW DUO FUE system", and the home page says the pen is used "for every patient" and "at no additional cost". Our FUE guide covers the method, and our DHI page covers the implanter pen.
For non-shaven FUE, the clinic's page says "Please keep your hair at least 3 centimeters in length to ensure sufficient hair coverage for the procedure." Our non-shaven FUE page compares clinics that offer it.
None of HairTran's pages lists FUT as a service, although the home page title tag includes the words FUE and FUT. An August 2025 commenter wrote "Dr.P does not offer FUT but others do." (r/HairTransplants).
The clinic's review page cites a "survival rate over 95%", while its technique article says "more than 90% of the transplanted hair should survive". Neither cites a study.
What HairTran Publishes as Price, and What Patients Report Paying
Our conversions use 33.14 baht to the dollar (European Central Bank reference rates, 22 September 2026). The whole Bangkok market is in our cost guide.
The Clinic's Published Figures
The FUE page says "pricing starts at 102,000 THB", which is $3,078 by our conversion, on a page whose metadata shows it was last modified 25 May 2026 (read 10 October 2026). It attaches no graft count to that figure. The home page adds "Final costs vary based on the number of grafts required and the doctor's assessment."
For non-shaven FUE the clinic's page says "100 THB per graft", $3.02 by our conversion, covering "the full treatment pathway, including hair and scalp assessment, the procedure itself, and comprehensive post-procedure care for up to one year". HairTran publishes no per-graft rate for standard FUE.
Patient-Reported Prices by Date
Every figure below is one patient's statement, not a clinic price. Per-graft figures divide the patient's total by their graft count and leave PRP out (our arithmetic).
| Post date | Thread | What the poster wrote | Per graft |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 2024 | r/HairTransplants | "Hairtran: 37 THB/graft that was the cheapest of them all." (surgery at the end of August 2024) | 37 THB, as stated |
| Jun 2025 | r/HairTransplants | "Cost: 172,500 THB for 3500 Grafts + PRP treatment: 12,000THB for 1 dose" The same poster wrote "The design came in at 3600 so I had to pay for an extra 100 grafts." Extra grafts on the day were 45 THB each, so 177,000 THB for 3,600 grafts by our arithmetic. | 49.2 THB |
| Dec 2025 | r/HairTransplants | "Total cost: 135,000THB" (2,400 grafts) | 56.3 THB |
| Dec 2025 | r/HairTransplants | "I've been quoted 197,000 thb for 3500 grafts plus 27,000 thb revision fee." The poster links the fee to a previous FUT elsewhere. | 56.3 THB before the fee |
| Feb 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "The total cost for the procedure was 229,000 baht" (4,582 grafts, with PRP extra) | 50.0 THB |
| Jul 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "I was quoted 100 THB per graft", for 2,500 to 2,900 grafts, "after my consultation with Dr. Patty yesterday." The poster added that it was a quote for a full shave FUE. | 100 THB, as quoted |
| Jul 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "I got mine done April this year, and the price I paid was 50 THB per graft for full shave (~2,600 grafts). Locked that price in back in Dec 2025 though" | 50 THB, as stated |
Two quotes seven weeks apart in 2026 are 100 THB (July) and 50 THB (August) a graft, the second from a reply in the same thread: "That's exactly the same price I just got quoted this week. 50 thb per graft". The thread doesn't say why they differ. The date a price was locked and the graft count are the possible factors patients mention.
A December 2025 thread asked whether Dr. Patty had gone up significantly in price. Its posters gave single claims, such as "I was one of the last to pay her old rate of 45/graft" and "I was quoted 80THB/graft 3 weeks ago". One poster wrote in January 2026 "She's quoting 120 thb now per graft." and no other poster in that thread supported it (r/HairTransplants).
Our reading: patient totals for 2,400 to 4,582 grafts, posted from June 2025 to February 2026, come to 49 to 56 THB a graft. For about 3,500 grafts, posters report 134,500 THB (a 2024 quote), 172,500 THB (June 2025) and 197,000 THB (December 2025). The clinic's page still says "starts at 102,000 THB".
Shaven or Non-Shaven
A June 2024 clinic email, pasted into a thread by a prospective patient, priced a shaved FUE of 2,500-3,000 grafts at "104,000 - 122,500 THB" and a non-shaven one at "237,500- 285,000THB" (r/HairTransplants). If the totals cover that range, that's about 41 THB and 95 THB a graft by our arithmetic.
The thread's author, a patient, had replied "Never heard about extra.. seems weird?" before the email was pasted, and after seeing it suggested the figure might be the price of a long-hair transplant. A November 2024 patient, asked whether non-shaven cost extra, wrote "Same price." (r/HairTransplants). Treat the June 2024 email as one pasted email, not a clinic price. The clinic's current pages say 100 THB per graft.
Why the Total Can Differ From the Quote
Graft counts change on the day, in both directions. A February 2026 patient wrote "Initially, I was quoted around 3,500 grafts." and ended at 4,582 (r/HairTransplants). Another wrote "Before visiting, I was told I'd probably need around 3000 grafts. After in person consultation, they said it would be closer to 3700. That obviously increased the cost since it's charged per graft" (r/HairTransplants).
In the other direction, a November 2024 patient quoted for 3,500 wrote "I think I ended up with 2750" (r/HairTransplants). Posters also mention PRP at 12,000 THB a dose, a 27,000 THB revision fee, and 10,000 THB for hyperbaric sessions after an infection.
Ask for the price at your own graft count in writing, and for what happens to it if the count changes on the day.
Booking: Consultation, Waiting Times, Deposit and Changing a Date
The Consultation
The contact page says "we have transitioned to Zoom-only consultations (No walk-ins accepted). Please book your appointment at least 4 weeks in advance to receive a private consultation link with the doctor." It describes the doctor's assessment as "complimentary", and the contact form accepts photo uploads.
Dated Wait Times Patients Report
The clinic publishes no waiting time. Each row is one poster's own booking, not a current wait.
| Post date | Thread | What the poster wrote |
|---|---|---|
| Nov 2024 | r/HairTransplants | "I booked in may and had surgery Nov 5." |
| Dec 2025 | r/HairTransplants | "I scheduled my consult for February 2026 and they said actual HT appt was going to be August 2026" |
| Feb 2026 | HairLossTalk | "Dr. Pukpinya Jangjetriew gives me a timeline December 2026 which is huge of a wait." |
| Mar 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "When I consulted in Oct. 2025, The earliest was second week of March 2026." A commenter in the thread: "I think it's closer to a 1 year waitlist now dude, you might as well just lock it in now." |
| Jul 2026 | r/HairTransplants | A prospective patient wrote that "the earliest surgery date available is August 2027" |
| Aug 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "Booked with Dr. Patty for mid-2027, which is later than I was hoping for." |
Our reading: the dated statements move from about six months in 2024 and 2025 to surgery dates in 2027 in posts from July and August 2026. A December 2025 commenter wrote "Their waitlist is usually 4-6 months depending on the season." (r/HairTransplants).
Cancellation slots exist too. In another December 2025 comment, a patient wrote "Appointment booked for 22nd November, ended up snagging a cancellation for early September." (r/HairTransplants).
Deposit, Payment and Changing a Date
The clinic's English home, about, FAQ, treatment and contact pages state no deposit amount, refund rule or rescheduling rule. Patients describe three different deposits. A patient who booked in March 2024 wrote "Then you pay a deposit of 20% of the guestimated graphs." (r/HairTransplants).
A February 2026 patient wrote "I paid a 40% advance to secure the slot, and the remaining amount was paid on the day of surgery after they finalized the graft estimate." (r/HairTransplants).
In July 2026 a prospective patient wrote that the clinic sent a booking policy: "they specifically told me the 30% deposit is non-refundable if I decide to move forward after consulting with Dr. Patty." The same poster wrote "According to the clinic, you can reschedule, but only once" and that the clinic requires "at least 45 days' notice" (r/HairTransplants).
Two posters in June and July 2026 said dates weren't what they expected. One wrote "I had an appointment booked for the end of july and surgery in january 2027." and later "Hairtran returned to me today saying they ar fully booked for january and earliest they can is now in april." Another wrote "I indeed didn't pay a deposit but i understood that I was only supposed to pay that following the consult and that december was what i could plan for. Not sketchy but it's certainly misleading." (r/HairTransplants).
Ask for the deposit in percent and baht, the date the balance is due, and the date-change rule in writing, and get your surgery date confirmed before you pay.
What Is Included
The clinic's FUE page lists "Free HIV tests", "Free painkillers, anti-inflammatories, and antibiotics", "Free post-care kit", "Free meal on procedure day" and "Free 3 months of oral hair-growth medication", plus "Free follow-up appointments with no additional charge." The home page adds "Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) at no additional cost".
Its promotion page, last modified in September 2025 per its metadata, says "Free oral medications for 6 months". The two pages disagree on the length of the free oral medication, 3 months against 6, so ask which applies.
The home page lists follow-up at "1 Day Post-Op", "3 Months" and "12 Months", and says patients abroad can use a "dedicated online follow-up system for international patients" to send photos. Our recovery guide covers the weeks after surgery.
The guarantee has three wordings. The FUE page says "1-year results guarantee: If your growth does not meet expectations, we'll re-transplant at no extra cost". The home page says "If the outcome does not meet the treatment plan and you have attended all scheduled follow-up visits, we will provide additional care at no extra cost within the warranty period." The promotion page says "Results are covered by a 1-year growth guarantee : if regrowth does not meet expectations, we will provide an additional transplant free of charge." None of the wordings promises a result.
No clinic page lists a hotel, a transfer or an airport pick-up. An April 2026 patient wrote "I did have to pay for the hyperbaric sessions which costed 10k baht." after an infection, while the clinic didn't charge "for any of the medications or IV antibiotics" (r/HairTransplants).
Location and Getting There
The contact page gives the HairTran Bangkok address as "No.2 Quant, 3rd Floor, Unit B and C, Soi Sukhumvit 25, Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei Nua Sub-district, Wattana District, Bangkok 10110" (read 10 October 2026). It says a 3 to 5 minute walk from "BTS Asok (Exit 6) and MRT Sukhumvit (Exit 2)."
The clinic is closed on Sundays, which moved one July 2026 patient's day-14 check-up earlier (r/HairTransplants).
The ISHRS and ABHRS listings still show the older Soi Sukhumvit 42 address, and the ABHRS one names the Bangkok Mediplex Building. An October 2025 patient wrote about "the huge Gateway Ekamai mall right across from the clinic" (r/HairTransplants), which fits that earlier location.
A September 2026 poster wrote "Hairtran Clinic will be moving to a new location after September 2026, so my procedure will be at its new address", and gave "(New Head Office) 3rd Floor, Quant Sukhumvit 25 Building" as the address (r/HairTransplants). The clinic's own pages show the Quant address and don't mention a move.
Confirm the address in writing before you book a hotel.
What Patients Report
HairTran Clinic reviews from patients are individual posts, almost all on r/HairTransplants, from 2023 to 2026. They're mostly from 2025 and 2026, and none can be treated as typical.
Positive and Mixed Reports
| Post date | Thread | What the poster wrote |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 2024 | r/HairTransplants | "Getting this done for me personally was absolutely the right decision, and it turned out basically just as I wanted." (10 months) |
| May 2025 | r/HairTransplants | "The only downside was that the regrowth was a lil kinky/wiry/frizzy." Also "my crown started thinning considerably from approximately 6 months back", which the poster put down to native hair loss. (1 year) |
| Feb 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "Most of the transplanted hairs have shed, and I'm almost back to where I started." Also "my temples weren't touched at all." and "Overall, I'm happy with the experience and the clinic." (day 29) |
| Mar 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "It was quite excruciatingly painful, I won't lie." (placement stage) "I highly recommend Dr Patty and Hairtran Clinic." |
| Oct 2026 | r/HairTransplants | "I haven't had any problems or complications at all." (3 months) |
Complaints, Criticism and Doubts
Turned away. An August 2025 poster wrote "they can't do the surgery for me and I need FUT not FUE which was wired." (r/HairTransplants). In October 2025 another wrote "I got knocked back recently because my donor area appeared weak to them." The clinic's FUE page says FUE "May not be suitable for patients with very advanced or diffuse hair loss across the entire scalp."
The doctor's role. A February 2026 patient wrote "The process was efficient, the pain was manageable, and the team clearly knows what they're doing." and also "That said, communication especially around doctor involvement, could definitely be better." The same post says "The vibe on day two was definitely different. The staff weren't as attentive and everything felt very rushed" (r/HairTransplants).
A November 2025 patient wrote "I stayed an additional 11 days post-op hoping to see the doctor for my two week check-up, but if nothing is wrong, you won't see her." (r/HairTransplants).
Replies after you leave. The February 2026 patient added that once you leave, responses can take 2 to 3 days, "which can be stressful, especially if you notice anything unusual like a few dislodged grafts, as it happened with me." (r/HairTransplants).
Infection. An April 2026 patient wrote "I would just like to acknowledge Hairtran clinic for their aftercare when I unfortunately developed mild folliculitis on day 3/4 post hairtransplant." The same post says Dr. Patty "would prefer if I could stay in Bangkok so she can get me off IV antibiotics instead of oral and monitor me." (r/HairTransplants).
Commenters disagreed on whether to blame the clinic. The clinic's pages give no complication or revision rate.
Results doubts. A December 2025 poster wrote "I've noticed that the Reddit results for Dr Patty are underwhelming compared to the official Hairtran advertised results on her main website." One reply said "Please post the results you are referring to which are questionable." (r/HairTransplants).
HairTran Compared With Absolute Hair Clinic
Our Absolute Hair Clinic vs HairTran page sets the two clinics side by side on surgeons, published prices, who does each step, waiting times and guarantees. The other Bangkok clinics we profile are in our Bangkok clinic comparison. Absolute Hair Clinic also has its own profile page.
Questions to Ask HairTran Before You Pay
- Which of these steps will Dr. Patty do herself, and which will a nurse or technician do: hairline design, incisions, extraction, placing the grafts?
- How many people work on my case, and how long is the doctor in the room?
- What is the price for my graft count, in writing, and what happens to it if the count changes on the day?
- What is the deposit in percent and baht, when is the balance due, and is my date confirmed when I pay?
- If I need to move my date, what's the policy, and can I take a cancellation slot?
- How many months of oral medication does the price include, and are PRP, a revision fee or hyperbaric sessions extra?
- What does the one-year guarantee cover, what must I do to qualify, and who decides?
- Is the clinic still at the Soi Sukhumvit 25 address, and from what date?
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Dr. Patty of HairTran the same person as Dr. Pukpinya Jangjetriew?
The clinic's pages use both names for the same doctor, and the ISHRS and ABHRS listings use her full name with the HairTran address. The ISHRS lists her as a Full Member who joined in 2019. The ABHRS lists her as a Diplomate, Certification Year 2023.
How much does HairTran cost, and has it gone up?
The clinic publishes a start price of 102,000 THB and 100 THB a graft for non-shaven FUE. Patient totals posted from June 2025 to February 2026 work out to 49 to 56 THB a graft by our arithmetic, and single posts mention 45, 60, 80, 100 and 120 THB. Ask for a written quote at your graft count.
How long is the wait for Dr. Patty?
The clinic publishes no wait. Patients report about six months in 2024 and 2025, and posts from July and August 2026 report surgery dates in 2027. A few report cancellation slots.
Does Dr. Patty do the implanting herself?
Accounts differ. The clinic says she "personally performs all critical steps", and also that she is "assisted by her nurses and technicians". Patients describe her making the incisions and differ on extraction and placement.
Does HairTran offer non-shaven transplants, and does it do FUT?
It offers non-shaven FUE at 100 THB per graft and asks for hair of at least 3 centimeters. It lists no FUT, and an August 2025 commenter wrote that the doctor doesn't offer it.
Is a deposit needed, and can I move my date?
The clinic publishes neither. Patients report deposits of 20, 40 and 30 percent between 2024 and 2026, and one relayed a non-refundable deposit with one reschedule and at least 45 days' notice. Ask for the policy in writing.
Is HairTran Right for You?
This is a reading of the facts above for anyone weighing a Dr. Patty hair transplant, not a ranking.
The reported facts suit someone who:
- wants one named doctor who, in patient accounts from 2023 to 2026, designs the hairline and makes the incisions
- can plan 6 to 12 months or more ahead, or can take a cancellation slot
- wants non-shaven FUE at a published rate of 100 THB per graft, or shaved FUE with a written quote at their own graft count
- can stay near the clinic for the follow-up visits
They suit someone less well who:
- needs FUT, which the clinic doesn't list
- has limited donor hair or very advanced or diffuse hair loss, which the clinic's own page and patient posts mention as reasons for a no
- needs a surgery date within a few months
- wants every step done by the doctor and can't get that in writing
- wants a deposit, refund and date-change policy published before contact
- wants the clinic to arrange a hotel or transfer
Whichever list you fall on, get the price, the deposit terms and the date in writing before you pay.
