HE Clinic vs Bangkok Health Service: Surgeons, Prices and Booking Compared (2026)

Comparing HE Clinic and Bangkok Health Service for a hair transplant in Bangkok comes down to two things in writing: each proposed graft count and the operating doctor's name.

HE Clinic names Dr. Dao and publishes graft-tier prices. Bangkok Health Service publishes fixed treatment-only prices without naming the operating hair surgeon there.

Bangkok Health Service says it coordinates care and doesn't perform treatment itself.

A price tied to a graft tier and a price tied to an assessed treatment plan need different follow-up questions.

HE Clinic vs Bangkok Health Service at a Glance

DHI means direct hair implantation. HE Clinic describes it as individual graft extraction followed by placement with an implanter pen; Bangkok Health Service uses FUE for individual follicular-unit extraction and FUI/DHI for extraction combined with direct implantation.

Who Each Clinic Is

HE Clinic

HE Clinic describes itself as a private medical clinic in Bangkok's Thonglor district. The clinic is on the second floor of Fifty-Fifth Thonglor at 90 Thong Lo Road, Sukhumvit 55.

Hair restoration is among its services. The clinic publishes license number 10101012660, but its hair transplant and long-hair pages don't state when it began performing hair transplants.

Bangkok Health Service

Bangkok Health Service describes itself as a Bangkok-based medical-tourism and healthcare-travel coordination company led by Anders and Chita Olesen. It says it works with hospitals and specialist clinics and does not provide medical treatment itself.

Its published license is for a tourism business. For surgery, you still need the name and location of the treating clinic, plus the operating doctor's credentials.

Its about and hair-price pages don't state how long it has arranged hair transplants. Ask which clinic would treat your case before choosing accommodation around an assumed surgery address.

The Surgeons and Their Credentials, as Each Clinic Publishes Them

Dr. Napasorn Tiwongkum, HE Clinic

HE Clinic names Dr. Napasorn Tiwongkum, or Dr. Dao, as its Lead Hair Doctor. It describes her as a hair transplant and restoration specialist.

Under certifications, the clinic lists the Association of Cell Therapy Thailand, NHT Hair Transplant in Turkey and the Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery. It also lists the 2019 International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery World Congress in Bangkok.

HE Clinic's hair pages also say she holds certifications from NHT Turkey, the Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery, and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Those are the clinic's claims. The profile's congress entry doesn't establish membership of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), fellowship or American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery certification.

The ISHRS directory covers full Members and Fellow Members. So ask HE Clinic for Dr. Dao's individual medical-license details and a directory link for any membership or board credential it quotes.

Bangkok Health Service

Bangkok Health Service's price, about and FAQ pages don't identify the operating hair surgeon. Bangkok Health Service says medical assessment and treatment decisions remain with the professionals caring for the patient.

That leaves the surgeon comparison unfinished until you have a name. Ask for the doctor's full name and medical-license details, the clinic where surgery would happen, and links to any claimed hair-restoration credentials.

HE Clinic gives you a named doctor to investigate before making contact. Bangkok Health Service requires that extra request; a coordinator's business license cannot answer questions about the surgeon's qualifications.

Technique and Equipment

HE Clinic

HE Clinic says its DHI procedure uses the same extraction step as FUE, then an implanter pen to place grafts. Its Long Hair DHI description also combines FUE-style harvesting with pen implantation.

That gives you a description of both parts of the operation: taking grafts from the donor area and placing them in the thinning area. The clinic's published shaven DHI plan includes shaving the recipient area.

Bangkok Health Service

Bangkok Health Service lists FUE, FUI/DHI and Long Hair non-shave as separate scalp options. It describes FUI/DHI as individual follicular extraction combined with direct implantation, and lists long-hair treatment separately.

Its price page doesn't specify the implantation equipment for every option. Ask the treating doctor to describe how grafts will be removed and placed under the method quoted for you.

Neither HE Clinic's cited hair pages nor Bangkok Health Service's price page lists follicular unit transplantation (FUT), the strip method, as an available option. Our Bangkok DHI guide explains the terminology if you're comparing quotes with different procedure names.

Who Does Which Step

HE Clinic says every treatment is doctor-performed and never delegated, though its FAQ on the same page says most procedures are performed by the doctor with the nursing team assisting. Its hair transplant page names Dr. Dao as the doctor performing the procedure under local anesthesia.

The hair pages don't separately assign extraction, recipient-site incisions, implanter loading and graft placement. Ask the clinic to spell out who handles each step for your booking.

Bangkok Health Service says it coordinates care and doesn't perform treatment itself. Its cited pages don't name the surgical team or allocate those steps, so request the answer from the treating clinic through the coordinator.

When you ask about staffing, include the planned start time and expected session length. Keep the written answer alongside your quote so the proposed team and schedule are clear before you arrange the trip.

Published Prices and What Is Included

The scalp prices below come from HE Clinic and Bangkok Health Service, read 17 October 2026. Bangkok Health Service's price page states that it was last updated August 31, 2026.

HE Clinic's published shaven DHI prices

Published graft tierShaven DHI price
1,000 grafts99,000 THB
2,000 grafts119,000 THB
Package over 2,800 grafts149,000 THB

HE Clinic says these prices apply to shaven DHI and that Long Hair DHI is priced separately. It says the graft requirement is set at assessment and describes the displayed pricing as having no other costs or charges.

The broad no-other-charges statement doesn't give you an appointment-by-appointment aftercare plan or explain how a different assessed graft count would be priced. So ask for the proposed graft count and an itemized inclusion list with your quote.

Bangkok Health Service's treatment-only prices

Published scalp treatmentTreatment-only price
FUE79,000 THB
FUI/DHI120,000 THB
Long Hair non-shave130,000 THB
Long Hair plus one Regenera Micrograft treatment150,000 THB

Bangkok Health Service describes these as fixed prices covering unlimited grafts within safe donor-hair capacity and the clinical plan. It expressly limits the graft count to what the assessment finds suitable.

The price includes a video consultation before travel and an in-person consultation with treatment planning in Bangkok. It also lists the selected treatment for one patient, medication connected with the plan, planned local washes or treatments, and scheduled follow-up.

Accommodation and transfers sit in a separate four-night package add-on priced at 15,000 THB. The treatment-only figure should therefore stay separate from your travel budget.

Bangkok Health Service says the recommended treatment or quote may change before booking if the requested option is unsuitable. Get the assessed treatment and total in writing before paying.

What patients report paying at HE Clinic

No first-person patient bill or quote is available for comparison here. The HE Clinic figures above are its published prices, not patient-reported payments.

What patients report paying through Bangkok Health Service

No first-person patient bill or quote is available for comparison here either. Its published treatment-only prices don't show what a particular patient's trip and treatment ultimately cost.

We wouldn't choose on the difference between the DHI figures alone. HE Clinic attaches its price to a graft tier; Bangkok Health Service attaches its price to a treatment plan, and that plan still needs a named surgeon and assessed graft count.

Shaven or Non-Shaven: What Each Charges

HE Clinic publishes the following separate Long Hair DHI prices, read 17 October 2026.

Published graft tierLong Hair DHI price
500 grafts99,000 THB
1,000 grafts119,000 THB
1,500 grafts149,000 THB
2,000 grafts179,000 THB
Package over 2,400 grafts199,000 THB

HE Clinic describes this as avoiding a full scalp shave for selected candidates. It also says limited shaving in the donor area is usually needed to extract grafts safely.

Bangkok Health Service's Long Hair non-shave option has its own treatment-only price in the table above. Bangkok Health Service says suitability depends on the donor area, recipient area and clinical plan, but doesn't describe the shaving pattern.

Both offer a way to discuss keeping existing hair length. HE Clinic gives more detail about possible donor shaving; Bangkok Health Service needs to supply that detail for your proposed treatment.

So ask each to mark the areas it would shave on your photos.

That makes the answer useful if you wear your hair short at the back or want to keep the top untouched. Our non-shaven hair transplant guide for Bangkok covers the different meanings clinics attach to the label.

Waiting Times and Booking Terms

HE Clinic requires advance booking. Its cited hair pages don't give a surgery wait or deposit amount, and they don't publish cancellation or rescheduling terms.

Bangkok Health Service says appointments are generally arranged within a few days to a week, depending on the treatment and clinic. That is a company-wide appointment statement, so it doesn't establish when a hair-transplant surgeon could operate.

Its FAQ recommends at least 72 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Fees might apply, but it doesn't publish the charge.

It doesn't publish a hair-transplant deposit amount either.

Ask each for the next surgery date with the named doctor, the deposit required and the terms for moving that date. Check what happens to the deposit if the in-person assessment changes the treatment you booked.

Neither set of published terms supports choosing one as the faster route. So get a surgery date before committing to flights, and distinguish it from a consultation appointment.

How You Reach Each Doctor

HE Clinic advertises a free photo assessment, read 17 October 2026. It asks for clear photos from the front, top, sides and back.

It says Dr. Dao will review the case and also offers a WhatsApp route for sending photos. Both routes let you start with photos before arranging an in-person appointment.

Its hair page doesn't describe a video consultation arrangement or a separate fee for one. If you want to speak with Dr. Dao before travel, ask for that appointment when sending the photos.

Bangkok Health Service describes a sequence of photos and goals, a video consultation before booking, then a physical consultation in Bangkok. The video consultation is among the treatment-price inclusions listed above.

It doesn't identify the clinician on that call. Request the name before booking the consultation and ask whether that doctor would also perform the operation.

So send both the same photos and describe the same areas you want treated. If the proposed counts differ, ask each doctor to explain the area and coverage they planned before comparing the totals.

Aftercare, Follow-Up and Guarantees

HE Clinic gives general washing instructions and says to avoid swimming, intense exercise and significant sun exposure for the period the doctor advises. Its hair pages don't publish an included aftercare visit schedule, a required Bangkok stay or an outcome guarantee.

Ask how many in-person visits your quote includes and who handles washes. HE Clinic's long hair page says time in the clinic depends on graft count and case complexity, so request the schedule for the procedure proposed to you.

Bangkok Health Service includes planned washes or treatments during the Bangkok follow-up period, medication connected with the plan and scheduled follow-up. Bangkok Health Service also says it can arrange follow-up appointments if necessary.

Those pages don't give a hair-transplant follow-up timetable or an outcome guarantee. Ask for the dates and whether follow-up after you leave Bangkok is with the surgeon, the clinic or the coordination team.

The four-night travel package is a booking option. Ask the treating doctor how long you should stay for your own care plan before using it to choose a return flight.

Our Bangkok recovery guide covers the wider trip planning. For either booking, get the washing instructions and the contact for problems after you fly home before leaving the clinic.

How to Choose Between Them

If you want to investigate a named hair doctor before making an inquiry, HE Clinic gives you that starting point. Its graft tiers also let you see the published price for the listed session sizes, with separate figures for shaven and long-hair work.

If you want help arranging treatment and travel, Bangkok Health Service describes that service and lists a video consultation before travel. Before choosing that route, get the operating clinic and surgeon's details so you can assess the medical team separately from the travel arrangements.

If keeping your hair length matters, both publish a long-hair option. Compare the shaving plan for your case, along with the assessed graft count and the price, because the shared label doesn't answer those questions.

If your dates are fixed, neither publishes a hair-transplant waiting time you can book around. Ask both for the available surgery date and the required local follow-up visits.

We would compare the written plans once each names the doctor and explains the treatment scope. The useful difference is what each can put in writing for your case, including who operates and what the total covers.

Questions to Ask Both Clinics Before You Pay a Deposit

Send the same questions to HE Clinic and Bangkok Health Service. For Bangkok Health Service, ask which answers come from the treating clinic and which concern the travel arrangements.

1. Who is the operating doctor, and what are their full name, medical-license details and hair-restoration credentials? 2. Who will perform extraction, recipient-site incisions, implanter loading and graft placement? 3. What technique do you propose for my case, and why? 4. What will you shave, including any donor-area shaving for a long-hair option? 5. What graft count or treatment scope is planned, and when could the plan or total change? 6. What does the written total include: medication, washes, follow-up, accommodation, transport and any add-ons? 7. What deposit secures the surgery date, and what are the cancellation and rescheduling terms? 8. How long should I remain in Bangkok, and who handles medical questions after I leave?

Keep the replies with the quote. If you'd like help comparing the written plans, you can contact AsiaPatient.

Frequently asked questions

Who performs each step of the operation?

HE Clinic says treatments are doctor-performed and never delegated, though its FAQ on the same page says most procedures are performed by the doctor with the nursing team assisting. Its hair pages don't allocate each step separately. Bangkok Health Service doesn't identify the surgical team on its cited pages. Ask both for the names and roles of those handling extraction, incisions, pen loading and placement.

Can the graft estimate change after the in-person consultation?

HE Clinic says assessment sets the graft requirement. Bangkok Health Service says the clinical assessment decides the final plan and that the recommended treatment or quote may change before booking. Ask when your count and total become settled, and what happens if the proposed treatment changes.

What is included in the total?

HE Clinic describes its shaven DHI prices as having no other costs or charges, without publishing an itemized follow-up schedule. Bangkok Health Service lists consultations, treatment, medication connected with the plan, planned Bangkok washes or treatments, and scheduled follow-up.

Its hotel and transfer package costs extra. Request an itemized quote from each.

How long should I stay in Bangkok?

Neither set of cited pages gives a stay requirement for hair transplantation. Bangkok Health Service sells a four-night travel add-on, but you need the treating doctor's advice on how that fits your follow-up plan. Ask for the final in-person appointment date before booking your return flight.

What follow-up happens after I fly home?

HE Clinic's cited hair pages don't publish a remote follow-up schedule. Bangkok Health Service lists scheduled follow-up without giving dates or a remote-care timetable. Ask both who will review your progress, how to send photos and how to reach the treating doctor if you have a medical concern.

What are the booking, deposit and rescheduling terms?

HE Clinic requires advance booking but doesn't publish a hair-transplant deposit or rescheduling terms on its cited hair pages. Bangkok Health Service recommends at least 72 hours' notice for changes and says fees may apply, without giving a hair-transplant deposit or fee amount. Get the terms for your surgery in writing before paying.
