BEQ Clinic Bangkok: Dr. Danai, Prices and What to Ask
Open BEQ Clinic's English homepage and you meet its lead surgeon under two spellings. His doctor card says "Dr. Danai Thampibal", and the text on the same page says "Dr. Danai Dharmabhipal".
BEQ Clinic, which writes its name in English as "BEQ Hair Clinic", is a hair transplant clinic in Silom led by Dr. Danai. Our Bangkok hair transplant guide covers the city's other clinics, prices and recovery.
BEQ says Dr. Danai is certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. It publishes a price range rather than a per-graft rate, and we found no patient reports about the clinic that we could quote.

Rows come from BEQ's English and Thai homepages, read 4 October 2026. We compare what clinics publish with what patients report. Nobody at AsiaPatient has visited BEQ or had a procedure there.
BEQ's homepage says it has 18 years of expertise.
Dr. Danai and the BEQ Medical Team
BEQ's English homepage says: "Hair transplantation at BEQ Hair Clinic is led by Dr. Danai Dharmabhipal, an American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery-certified physician with training in anti-aging and regenerative medicine."
It adds: "He is also a Key Opinion Leader in Asia for NeoGraft® by Venus Concept USA and a lecturer in hair transplant training." NeoGraft is a hair transplant device, and Venus Concept is the company behind it.
His doctor card on the same page lists a "Doctor of Medicine" and a "Master of Science in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine". The schools it gives are "Prince of Songkhla University · Mae Fah Luang University".
The card also calls him "Co-founder, BEQ Hair Clinic" and lists him as "Lecturer, PAVICON ACADEMY". All of this is the clinic's own description of him. Some of it you can check yourself.
The surname appears as "Thampibal" on the doctor card and "Dharmabhipal" in the body text. So use both when you search a register or a directory. One of them may not match.
The homepage names Dr. Danai as the doctor leading transplants. It doesn't say whether he operates on every patient.
Ask BEQ which doctor will operate on you, and get that name on your written quote.
Dr. Danai's Credentials: Where to Check Them
BEQ's English homepage calls Dr. Danai certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). Its Thai homepage says he is certified by both the ABHRS and the International Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (translated from Thai).
The homepage doesn't claim membership of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).
The ABHRS describes itself as "internationally recognized as the only board certification focusing on hair restoration surgery for physicians worldwide". It says every Diplomate has shown proficiency in "both extensive written and oral examinations".
The ABHRS keeps a public Physician Directory. The ISHRS has a Find a Doctor page.
For the Thai licence, the Medical Council of Thailand runs a public register at checkmd.tmc.or.th. You search it by first name and surname, in Thai or English.
Search both spellings of his surname in the ABHRS directory and the Thai register before you pay a deposit.
Who Does Which Step at BEQ
BEQ's homepage says its transplants are "led by Dr. Danai" and that the doctor picks the technique after an assessment. It doesn't say who makes the incisions or who places the grafts.
That matters because the steps are split differently at different clinics. The ABHRS says creating the extraction incisions "is a non-delegable act, and must be performed by the physician of record", and that "the creation of incisions for placement of grafts is also non-delegable."
Placing the grafts isn't on that list. The ISHRS says FUE harvesting should be "physician-driven and performed", and that grafts are placed "most often by the trained staff".
What you want to know is how much a doctor does beyond the incisions. It depends on the clinic.
Ask BEQ in writing: "Which steps will the surgeon do, and which will staff do?"
Hair Transplant Techniques at BEQ Clinic
BEQ says it "provides several hair transplant approaches, including Precision Hair Transplantation, Follicular Unit Excision (FUE), Direct Hair Implantation (DHI), Long Hair DHI, Eyebrow and Beard Transplantation, and NeoGraft®+" (read 26 October 2026).
FUE and DHI
The clinic describes the two core methods this way: "FUE involves extracting individual follicular grafts before implantation. DHI uses a specialized implantation device to support control of angle, depth, direction, and density."
FUT, the strip method, isn't listed on BEQ's English site. That doesn't always mean it's not offered. If you were told you need FUT, ask BEQ directly whether it does it.
Long Hair DHI
BEQ says: "Long Hair DHI is designed for selected patients who prefer a non-shaven or minimally visible approach."
"Selected patients" means not everyone qualifies. You might not.
Ask BEQ to mark on your photos what it would shave or trim, at the back and on top. Our non-shaven hair transplant guide explains what the label can mean at different clinics.
Precision Hair Transplantation
BEQ says: "Precision Hair Transplantation incorporates detailed analysis, simulation, and personalized design into the treatment plan."
Ask how the extraction and placement differ from its FUE or DHI.
NeoGraft
BEQ describes NeoGraft as an automated FUE system, and Dr. Danai's card ties him to the device as a Key Opinion Leader for Venus Concept. The homepage doesn't publish growth figures for it.
Ask BEQ why it would choose NeoGraft over manual FUE or DHI for your case, and what changes in the price.
DHIv
BEQ also lists a service it calls DHIv. If you have a health condition, talk to your own doctor before you book any surgery, and tell the clinic about it at the first contact.
Hairline Design and AI Planning
BEQ says: "The Olympus Arc Male Hairline and Goddess Frame Female Hairline systems provide different design frameworks for creating balanced, individualized results."
Its homepage also says: "Our personalized hair restoration approach combines AI-assisted analysis, scalp diagnostics, 3D hairline simulation, precise surgical instruments, and contemporary hair transplant techniques." The tools it lists include FollicleForge AI and a 3D hairline simulation tool.
These are planning tools. The American Academy of Dermatology says "Improvements in creating the hairline and placing the hairs in the thinning areas also help create natural-looking results", and that "the outcome still depends largely on the surgeon you select".
Other Treatments BEQ Sells
Beside transplants, BEQ says "Programs may incorporate ReCell®, iStemZ, Exocell, Hair Laser, Plasma Hair PRP, Hair Booster, Octa Boost, NSC, or TGFx according to the individual assessment and treatment objective" (read 4 October 2026).
That's the clinic's own offer. Not every patient will get any of it. Follow your own surgeon's instructions, and ask your own doctor before you add any treatment.
BEQ Clinic Prices
BEQ's FAQ says: "Pricing may range from tens of thousands to several hundred thousand Thai baht. An accurate quotation can only be provided after the doctor has assessed the patient and developed a personalized treatment plan." (read 4 October 2026)
BEQ doesn't publish a per-graft rate on its English homepage. We found no patient-reported BEQ prices to quote. So the number to compare is your own written quote.
What other Bangkok clinics charge
For context, patients report paying ฿36-123 ($1.09-$3.71) per graft across five Bangkok clinics (reports and quotes, 2023 to 2026). Most reports at Absolute, Bangkok Hair Clinic and Hairsmith fall at ฿65-90 ($1.96-$2.72). A few sit outside that.
Those are other clinics' figures, not BEQ's. BEQ's may be higher or lower.
Our Bangkok hair transplant cost guide lines up what clinics publish and what patients report paying.
Dollars at ฿33.14 = $1 (European Central Bank reference rates, 22 September 2026).
What to ask about the price
BEQ's homepage doesn't list what a transplant fee includes. Ask for these in writing with your quote:
- Your estimated graft count and the total price for it
- What happens to the price if the graft count changes on the day
- Whether medication, aftercare visits and blood tests are included
- What any add-on treatment costs, and whether it's optional
The Process at BEQ
BEQ says the doctor selects the technique after a clinical assessment, and the transplant is done with the technique chosen there.
On anesthesia, the American Academy of Dermatology says in general: "Most patients remain awake during the entire surgery and need only an anesthesia that makes the scalp numb. Some patients also take a mild sedative to help them relax."
BEQ doesn't publish how long a session lasts. Ask how long the day will run for yours, so you can plan the night before and after.
Booking BEQ From Abroad
BEQ has an English website, and its English homepage carries contact details for enquiries. Its Thai homepage FAQ asks which channels you can use to consult a doctor before coming in for a transplant (translated from Thai).
Ask which channel leads to an assessment by Dr. Danai himself. Send clear photos of your hair from the front, top, both sides and the back.
BEQ's homepage doesn't publish deposit or refund terms, packages, hotels or airport transfers. So ask for the deposit amount and the cancellation rules in writing before you book flights.
What Patients Report About BEQ
We found no patient reports about BEQ that we could quote when this page was written.
BEQ's homepage shows its own before-and-after cases, with captions such as "1000 Grafts · 2 Weeks", "2600 Grafts · 1 Year" and "800 Grafts · 2 Years". It also says it is trusted by celebrities.
Those are the clinic's own marketing, chosen by the clinic. They may not be typical. So ask BEQ for cases close to your own hair loss and graft count, photographed at the same angles at each stage.
Aftercare and Follow-Up
BEQ's homepage says follow-up appointments and growth monitoring continue according to each patient's treatment plan. It doesn't say how follow-up works once you've flown home.
The American Academy of Dermatology says that "between two and eight weeks after the surgery, the transplanted hair will fall out. This is normal."
It adds: "By the third month, the hair may look thinner than before you had the transplant."
On timing, the AAD says: "Most patients see results between six and nine months after surgery. For some patients, it takes 12 months."
Our Bangkok recovery guide covers the first days and weeks in more detail.
Follow your own surgeon's instructions, and ask your own doctor about any medicine or product.
Getting to BEQ in Silom
BEQ gives its address as "313 C.P. Tower, 3rd Floor, Silom Subdistrict, Bang Rak District, Bangkok 10500".
Its hours read "Opening: Monday-Sunday, 10:00 AM-7:00 PM (Closed on Tuesdays)". Hours sometimes change.
So don't plan a consultation or surgery day for a Tuesday unless the clinic tells you otherwise. Ask the clinic for directions when you book.

Questions to Ask BEQ Before You Book
Each of these covers something BEQ's homepage leaves open:
- Which steps will the surgeon do, and which will staff do?
- Which doctor will operate on me, and how is the name spelled on the Thai Medical Council register?
- What is my graft count and total price, in writing?
- What does the price include: medication, aftercare visits, blood tests, add-ons?
- What is the deposit, and what happens to it if I cancel or the plan changes?
- Who do I contact after I fly home, and how?
If you have questions about planning the trip itself, you can reach us through our contact page.

Who is Dr. Danai at BEQ Clinic?

How much does a hair transplant cost at BEQ Clinic?
BEQ publishes a range, not a per-graft rate. Its FAQ says pricing "may range from tens of thousands to several hundred thousand Thai baht", with an accurate quote only after the doctor assesses you.
For context, patients report paying ฿36-123 ($1.09-$3.71) a graft at five other Bangkok clinics. BEQ may differ. Get your graft count and total in writing.
Does BEQ Clinic do no-shave or long hair transplants?

When will I see results after a hair transplant?
The American Academy of Dermatology says "Most patients see results between six and nine months after surgery. For some patients, it takes 12 months." Some take longer than others. It also says the transplanted hair falls out between two and eight weeks after surgery, and that this is normal. Follow your own surgeon's aftercare instructions throughout.
