Who We Are

Asia Patient is an independent research and comparison publisher focused on medical tourism in Thailand. We help international patients make informed decisions about hair transplants and other medical procedures by providing transparent, data-driven clinic comparisons and practical guides.

How We Research Content

Our content is built on three research pillars:

  • Forum and community analysis: We monitor Reddit, hair loss forums, RealSelf, and other patient communities to identify real patient experiences, pricing reports, and emerging concerns.
  • Medical literature: We reference peer-reviewed studies, clinical guidelines from organizations like ISHRS and ABHRS, and published research on hair transplant techniques and outcomes.
  • Direct verification: Where possible, we verify clinic credentials, pricing, doctor qualifications, and accreditations directly. We document what we can confirm and clearly state when information is based on patient reports.

Editorial Independence

We do not operate on a pay-to-rank model. Clinics cannot pay to be listed higher in our rankings or to receive favorable coverage. We do not use affiliate links or accept advertising from medical providers.

Our evaluations are based solely on the criteria outlined in our evaluation methodology: forum sentiment, credential verification, pricing transparency, procedural standards, and aftercare quality.

Revenue Disclosure

We connect patients with clinics through our free consultation request form. Clinics may pay a referral fee when a patient books through us. This never influences our rankings or recommendations. Clinics that pay referral fees receive the same evaluation criteria as those that do not.

Content Update Policy

Medical tourism is a dynamic field. Clinics change ownership, doctors move, pricing shifts, and new information emerges from patient experiences. We commit to:

  • Reviewing clinic evaluations every six months to ensure data accuracy
  • Updating content immediately when we receive credible reports of significant changes (pricing, doctor changes, safety concerns)
  • Clearly dating all content so readers know how current the information is
  • Archiving outdated content rather than deleting it, to maintain transparency about our evaluation history

Corrections and Feedback

We take accuracy seriously. If you find incorrect information, outdated pricing, or other errors, please contact us:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Include specific details about the error, the page URL, and any supporting documentation
  • We review all correction requests within 48 hours and update content when errors are confirmed

What We Do Not Publish

To maintain trust and accuracy, we avoid:

  • Unverified claims about clinic outcomes or success rates
  • Medical advice or recommendations about whether a specific individual should pursue a procedure
  • Promotional content disguised as editorial coverage
  • Speculation about clinics or doctors without documented evidence
